Learning About Beach Safety with the RNLI

As part of our “People, Heroes and the World” topic, we were thrilled to welcome a visitor from the RNLI to our school! The children learned all about beach safety and what the different flags on the beach mean to keep everyone safe while they’re near the water.

Our visitor also showed us the special equipment used by the RNLI lifeguards and rescuers, helping the children understand how these heroes keep people safe at the beach and at sea.

It was a fun and important visit that helped our reception class learn how to stay safe when visiting the beach. We’re very thankful to the RNLI for coming to teach us!
