Art to Start

Thank you all for coming to the last Art to Start in year 1! This term our topic is called 'Where We Are' and we will be looking at our local area and also looking at our local coastline and wildlife. For our Art to Start, we looked at mural artist Louis Masai, who lives in Margate. We looked at one of their pieces, which is a large seal, surrounded by litter. We talked about the message behind the art and discussed our ideas for our own pieces. Using chalk and working with our partner, we created our own outdoor murals in the playground.
