What a fabulous way to start the week in Year 2 with all the incredible shoebox habitats the children have been working on at home! From hedgehog homes to rainforests, from coral reefs to grasslands, we are so impressed with the range of habitats we have seen already and the creativity! Well done, Year 2! WOW!
Over the past week, Team Amin-Barnes nominated their JLT reps for the year after listening to reasons why their friends felt they were suited to the job and taking part in an anonymous vote! We cannot wait to see how our JLT reps lead the school this year with Mr Holliday!

We were marvellous mathematicians today and really enjoyed exploring how to use a part-whole model to represent different 2-digit numbers! Ask us all about it. Maybe we could show you!
On Friday afternoon, we created some stunning art inspired by Daniel Mackie, an illustrator who draws detailed habitats inside the shapes of animals. We discussed the colours used and which materials Daniel Mackie might have used to create his artwork! Have a look at our wonderful work on our classroom walls! Well done, Year 2!
Please find attached Year 2's first spelling homework. These will be handed out on Friday 13th September and are due back next Friday (the 20th). Children can bring their spellings back in for extra house points! :)
