This week in Maths: Number and Place Value

This week, we have been learning about and becoming more confident with representing large numbers, finding 1, 10, 100 and 1000 more than any number and comparing numbers up to and beyond 1000. The children have played various games, using whiteboards and place value counters, based around developing these concepts and I look forward to revisiting this topic with them soon.

Just a reminder to take the time to practise times tables at home with your children as well. In particular, we need to be practising 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,9 and 10, which we have been working to remember using songs, rhymes and different team games.
