We became song-writers
In the afternoon, we had a visitor come into class with the intention of writing a song as a group that incorporated the ideas and feelings of the whole of year 6...
After a couple of warm-up games, the children had to vote on a backing bass from a choice of three. From there, the children had to generate a theme for the song and create a chorus. Once this was in place, the verses were composed - again through the gathering of words and themes from the children.
By the end, the class had a fantastic song out dancing, which was recorded. Our guest is taking this away to produce a finished copy. We will endeavour to upload this once it is done!
