Earthquakes and marshmallows?

Today year 4 brought their designs to life using spaghetti and marshmallows. After designing our earthquake -proof structures last week we then  created them today on a smaller scale using everyday resources.

We found out that many of our structures were stable if they had a solid base and had enough flexibility to withstand an earthquake (table shaking and wobbling). Amazed and eager, we worked together as partners to help create our brilliant builds !
