Reading books

Hello, and welcome to Team Beraet's first blog of 2017-2018... Today all of the children were issued with a reading book and a reading record. The books are all banded and are based on a word-reading test they undertook in class last week. Please speak to me if you feel the book is too easy or too difficult and we can adjust it accordingly. Reading is such an important skill, so please take the time to read regularly with your child. Replacement books will be put in the labelled baskets above the lockers. Please encourage your child to take responsibility for changing their own book as part of their morning routine. Reading records will be checked from time to time and there will be prizes given out for any pupil managing 100 reads in the year!
