Friday 19th June 2020

Hi Team R-B,

It's FRIDAY! What are you all up to this weekend?

PE: Have you completed any of the Viking Games Challenges yet? Don't forget to email Mrs Horrigan with any videos and photos of you doing your challenges.

Maths: Today is the final day! Can you complete the Missing Macaws challenge below ...

English: For the next few days we are going to be creating our own shape poem. Today I would like you to research shape poems. Then film yourself performing a shape poem and post it on Padlet.

Spelling: Today is a Spelling Test day. Here are your words below:

1. battled

2. collided

3. denied

4. phoned

5. piled

6. jogged

7. tackled

8. striped

9. rotted

10. waved

Topic: Today we will be learning how to create our own fashion items.

Now we have designed our pieces next is the creating process. Show the clip to inspire your thinking and develop your understanding:  https://www.bbc.com/bitesize/clips/zqmpvcw

Notice how the designer spoke about the process of creating and its significance– our fashion show will be short, like the carnival so as she says, our work needs to be perfect! How will we go about creating our work? Remember to refer directly to your designs. At the end of the creations, you should be able to compare your outcome with your design with outcomes being similar. Explain that, like in the clip, items and fabrics will need to be joined. How could we join them? Have a go at some sewing and joining skills. I am giving you 3 days to complete this task, so don’t rush! I can’t wait to see your final outfits.

Life Skills: With the help of your adult, can you learn how to sew on a button?

Happy Friday!

Love Miss R-B, Mrs Fetherston, Mr Brown and Charlie Fudge x
