Friday Fun: Exploring animal skeletons and fossils

Ask me what a sand dollar looks like!

This week has been marvellous and filled with lots of amazing learning, house points and table points! The children have been adding, subtracting, writing suspense narratives, writing about Tom Thumb, reading their core text, listening to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, dancing, exercising, reading, investigating and so much more! Just another day at school really, but sometimes we must take a moment away from the 'normal' to enjoy the things that enrich our children's learning experiences and excite them even more! This afternoon, Team Amin took the opportunity to finally explore some of the artefacts that have been part of our Topic display. We explored skulls, beaks, talons, fossils and even part of an animal's backbone! Team Amin were really excited and engaged and we did some research to find out what animals we were looking at so ask me about a pheasant, a sand dollar AND the oldest creature in the world! Take a look at some of the pictures I managed to capture :)
