Buggy building

The final full day began with a team challenge that involved building and then racing a buggy...

In order to achieve this feat, the children were taught how to tie some basic knots that could hold together logs. They then had to manoeuvre the logs to the correct positions, ensuring they were parallel or perpendicular (to avoid the buggy veering off to the side). Once they had assembledthe vehicles, the teams then had to decide on roles - crew, pushers and breakers - and get to the start line. Racing was very competitive but conducted in a good spirit.
