Poetry in English

Using this as a model, the children have written their own rhyming poems along a similar theme - being trapped inside. Drawing on our recent experiences of living during a Covid lockdown, the children discussed their feelings, the activities they tried to pass the time and how they knew what was going on in the world outside. These are all themes from the original ballad and, although the children found the rhyming element tricky at times, everyone managed to produce an excellent ballad.
