Workshop - Jools Bentley

On Wednesday we had the brilliant Jools Bentley in to run a workshop for our Literacy Festival... Jools is the author of the children's book 'The Hippopandamouse' which she shared with the children before explaining the process of how a book is created from that initial idea through to publishing. Afterwards she went through the process of character creation - in the style of the Hippopandamouse - where the class suggested different animals and they were joined to create 'Dave' - see picture above!!! Finally, the children created their very own, individual character! She even stayed to sign books for the children at the end. A big thank you to Jools from all of Team Beraet!
