I am learning to build simple words.

The children have been building simple cvc (consonant, vowel, consonant) words e.g. hat, bed, lip, fan using magnetic letters or writing them. You could begin to do this at home using magnetic letters or writing them. Say the word slowly with your child and see if they can hear the sounds in the order they occur.
