Home Learning Monday 30th March

Good morning Team Gunson! One week down and you've been brilliant. Please see below for today's suggested learning activities.

Who is still doing a Joe Wicks workout in the morning? I did one on Saturday and still can't walk properly after two days! It's a great way to start the day, so get on it if you're up and about at 9:00am.

Maths: Monday arithmetic. Please find another arithmetic paper attached, the answers are there too grown ups! There is no time limit, just do the best you can :)

English: Remember the myth you planned on Friday? Well, now it's time to start writing. Introduce your hero heroine in the story. Describe what they look like and also what sort of personality they have. Can you use some show not tell? Also try to uplevel your work using well chosen adjectives and powerful verbs. Challenge: Include a simile and a double _ly starter sentence.

Topic: I spend my Sunday evening playing a very complicated board game called Deep Madness with my family. All of our characters were trapped in an underwater research station and had to escape. We didn't manage it! I thought that it would be fun to try to create our own games this week related to one of the topics we have covered. You could make it a fact based game using your knowledge of the Anglo Saxons, Greeks, Materials and their Properties or our Eco Warriors topic. On the other hand you could make it an adventure game, perhaps based around a Greek Myth or Beowulf... Is it a card game or will it have a board? Will you need playing pieces? Will it be for one person or more? You will have two days for this task and then perhaps you can have a go at playing it on Wednesday and send me a photograph.

Here is a video that might help :)
