HUMAN RIGHTS DAY 2018

Learning about and asking questions about our rights...

As today is Human Rights Day, Team Amin spent some of the morning exploring the meaning of 'rights' and talking about the rights that exist for human beings. In particular, however, we looked at the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and thought about some of the key Articles which ensure children's wellbeing. We learnt that we actually have the right to an education, to feel happy, to be safe, to be alive, to have our own opinions and to choose our own friends.  Please do come and visit our classroom this week - Team Amin created our own display which talks about some of the Articles that we felt were most important to us. Thank you to everyone who brought in a picture too - these have really added to our display and made the children enjoy their activity even more!
