Watch the video, then have a go at putting the correct punctuation into the story, including using ellipses for all of its different uses.

Topic: IALT explore the story of Daniel and relate this to religious persecution today.

If someone told you that you were going to be thrown into a pit with a big lion, how would you react?
How do you think you would feel about this? What would you do to try and prevent it?
This happened to a man in the Bible called Daniel. Have you ever heard this story before? What do you think might happen?

Read the story of Daniel and the Lions’ Den on the slides.
What message do you think this story gives to Christians today?
In lots of parts of the world there are laws saying that Christians can’t worship God. If they are found worshipping, they can be put in prison, face physical abuse or even be put to death. Why do you think these Christians don’t just pretend they are not Christians instead of facing such horrible punishments? Think of your ideas, then go through the rest of the slides.

North Korea is the most dangerous place in the world to be a Christian. Anyone who is a Christian is considered an enemy of the state. Watch Hea-Woo’s Story film. This video tells the true story of Hea-Woo was was imprisoned in North Korea for being a Christian.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbUoqzyVa1M
How does watching this film make you feel?
On worksheet 3D (attached),  try to answer the questions about Hea-Woo’s story.

It is not only Christians who are persecuted or suffer because of their beliefs. There are stories in the news all the time about people of different faiths who face discrimination and abuse because of what they believe in. What do you think about this? Do you think this is right? Do you think people should be free to practise their religion, no matter what it is, or do you think if you believe in something you should make everyone else believe it too?
