One Childhood, One Chance

Learning about life long ago

We have really enjoyed finding out about fossils this week for our history and science topic learning and what they can teach us about life in the past and how they can tell us a lot about the size and shape of dinosaurs and how they behaved all those years ago. We all had the chance to handle and study some real fossils that were found locally here in Ramsgate! Thank you to Elsie Simmonds' Grumpy who was very informed and was able to tell us what sort of fossils they were! We enjoyed making our very own "fossils" by making imprints of leaves, shells, feathers and dinosaur toys in play doh! And we also found out about a very famous fossil hunter called Mary Anning!
