One Childhood, One Chance

When is a minibeast not a minibeast?

When it's an insect!

We are loving our topic learning about the smaller things in life... minibeasts! We have found out the most amazing facts and even our teachers have learnt new things about the creepy crawlies that live all around us. This week we have learnt about even more minibeasts categories such as arachnids and minibeasts with more than 8 legs and also when a minibeast is called an insect...when it has 6 legs! We were VERY surprised to discover that caterpillars are in fact insects and not in the same category centipedes and millipedes as most of their legs are fake! What a wonderful world! We have created some amazing pictures of minibeasts with labels and especially enjoyed making models of insects using junk modelling and the modelling techniques we have learnt in art.
