Autism Awareness

Today, Team Amin started to learn about what autism means and how it might affect people. We thought about certain traits that a person with autism or Asperger syndrome might display which we could relate to and we thought of key words and phrases for how we should respond too. We met Rosie, Lenny, Ben and several other children and listened to their experiences of living with autism before creating a mind map of our learning. Then, we thought about how we might “describe” ourselves and the traits and behaviours that we possess that others may not, which we have used to produce our own jigsaw piece about us!
