SCHOOL TRIP!!!!!

Team Smart will be visiting The Rare Breed Centre in Ashford on Friday 13th May 2022
The Centre is a working farm and visitor attraction. The children will have the opportunity to see and hold lots of different animals and insects. We will be exploring how they grow and change. We will also be taking part in workshops. Reception will be taking part in bug hunting which links to our topics Mini Beasts and Ready, Steady Grow. This session involves the children to exploring habitats in search of mini beasts, includes opportunities to undertake sweep netting, look under logs & identify their sightings using a worksheet.
We will be leaving school at 9am and will be travelling by mini-bus and expect to arrive back at 3pm. Packed lunches will be provided. Please bring your child to school at the normal time of 8:15am and we will get them ready to leave from there.
Children can wear non- uniform as normal with a high-visibility jacket but please bring sun cream, sun hat, waterproof coat with hood and wellies (weather depending).
The cost of the trip is £11.20 per child which goes towards mini-bus hire, entrance to the centre and the educational workshops. If payment for the trip will cause you any difficulty, please do not hesitate to contact the school office in the strictest confidence.
