Cinema reward day
As a well done for the superb efforts during SATS testing, year 6 went on a short trip to Broadstairs for a picnic lunch and a film in the Palace cinema...
After a short train journey and leisurely walk down to the beach, we had a picnic lunch on the pier followed by a short excursion onto the sand (where the children appeared to be competing to dig the deepest hole with bare hands).
We then entered the cinema and enjoyed a showing of 'The Greatest Showman' which, although familiar to most of the children, was well-received. The popcorn and drink that was issued to each child did not last long, but provided enough energy for the walk back to the train station - via a brief sojourn at the park play area.
