Transition - Wizard Stories
Yesterday, to help with transition, Wizard Stories came into school to talk through worries and concerns ahead of the big move...
After starting off with a few warm-up games - including the extremely popular 'Gladys the chicken' game - the children used the power of music to tell stories and create a tale to reflect the anxieties of moving on to secondary school.
In a 'circle time' setting, the children then aired their concerns and talked through strategies and coping mechanisms.
Hopefully, the session (kindly organised by Mrs Elliott) has helped further settle any nerves before the end of term.
