The Lion King!

As a whole key stage, we went to London to watch the AMAZING Lion King! For some children, it may well be a once-in-a-lifetime trip - and it was certainly memorable...

After a straight-forward coach journey, we arrived at Greenwich park for our lunch and a toilet stop. Then, we had a short coach journey to get to the theatre itself. Inside, the children soaked up the atmosphere before the show began.

During the performance, the children were captivated and at times were literally on the edge of their seat. The show was phenomenal and demonstrated all they have learned during the arts curriculum over the past few years.

There was an audible buzz of excitement about the show, and it was fantastic to see the children have such a lovely time. The behaviour of the class (and indeed the whole Key Stage) was perfect, and they were excellent role models for the school in the community.

Unfortunately, there was time for one last piece of drama with 'the coach incident' involving those in Mr Beraet's group. Again though, the children dealt with the breakdown in a mature and calm manner - we are so proud of you!

I hope the children enjoyed the day as much as I did - talking to them, they certainly seemed to!
