A reminder that our Musical Showcase is being held at The Granville Theatre. A reminder that all Year 4 children need to wear a Black leggings/trousers/shorts, a colourful t shirt (one block colour, no logos), and trainers. All children also need to bring a packed tea.
As you all know, the Multiplication Tables Check is around the corner. This is a statutory test that all Year 4s in England will take part in. The test will take place online and consists of 25 multiplication questions which the children will have 6 seconds to answer each. More information about the assessment can be found in the attachment below.
To prepare the children we have been using Multiplication Tables Check - Mathsframe. We ask that you practise as often as you can on this at home to ensure your child is ready for the test.
In our practices at school, we have had some great results already and these could be even better with more practice.

Yesterday, we had a great time at our Silent Disco for Neurodiversity Week.
As part of Neuro Diversity and Inclusion Week, Yr 4 had the opportunity to work with Imagination Creative to work on some drama and drawing based on our book about inclusion, The Small Things.
The children worked together to move and make several shapes.
They thought about things and places that made them happy and drew them, made freeze frames about them and acted a scene about them.
If your child would benefit from a social story about the changes to our routine next week, it is attached below.
The children will also be shown a timetable of the day each morning so they know what their routines will be.
Next Week is a great opportunity for our children to learn about neurodiversity and inclusion.

We had an amazing day for World Book Day. It was brilliant to see the children reading and getting excited about books!
There were some amazing costumes.
We were lucky enough to have a drama workshop with Ms O who taught us about characterisation.
We also wrote, directed, and costumed a play based on the book, How to be a Lion by Ed Vere.

Today, was the RAPS final of the Speaker competition. Iris represented Team Cialis speaking to the school about waste. She gave some brilliant reasons and statistics to try and influence our thinking about the things we buy.
She didn't get to the Viking final this time, but there's always a chance for her to win next time!

This week the class have beenlearning about the parts of the digestive system. On Thursday, we built a digestive system out of a cup and fork (mouth), a spoon (oesophagus), a zip lock bag and vinegar (stomach), tights (small and large intestines).
Ask your child what they noticed during this experiment.
