In English this wek we finished our latest class book - 'Gorilla' by Anthony Browne... Within our writing sessions the children have used this to write letters as Hannah (the main character). On Friday the children had to use all the skills they have learned to write an independent letter. There were many amazing letters, but a special well done must go to Rebecca, who earned our Star Writer for this week for really trying to use all the key features we have discussed.

In reading sessions the children have taken on the roles of questioners, clarifiers, summarisers and predictors to help understand the text, and finished up by answering a series of questions about the book.
