Fractions in maths

We have been looking at fractions in maths... Last week, the children have learned how to use a bar model diagram to help find fractions of amounts, such as two thirds of 21. They have also been using a fraction wall to help find equivalent fractions - fractions that are worth the same but look different when written down. For example, knowing that 1/2 is equivalent to 4/8, or that 1/4 is equivalent to 3/12.
