RE: Exploring Diwali

This week in Team Amin, we have been learning about Hinduism and the festival of Diwali. We know the story of Rama and Sita, when Diwali is and where it may be celebrated and today, Team Amin explored the tradition of making Rangolis as Hindus do during Diwali. We know that Hindus create these beautiful patterns using coloured powder, flowers, rice and grains. These patterns are extremely colourful and welcome the goddess Lakshmi into Hindu homes. We had a go ourselves at making Rangoli patterns using coloured sand! It was really tricky, but also lots of fun! Well done, Team Amin!
