Fine Motor skills

What do we do in the mornings when we are dropped off at school?

Every Morning in Team Spurrier we have lots of fine motor (Fizzy) activities to do. These get our hands moving and help develop the muscles in our hands, arms and shoulders for writing later in the year. We love doing all sorts of activities such as lego, cotton bud painting, play dough, peg boards, geo boards, threading, pre writing patterns in sand (as pictured above) and much more. Anything that makes us do a small movement with our fingers will help and we would love for you to practise at home too. We are also learning to write our names and copy the shapes which is lots of fun too.
