RAPS Speaker Competition

Towards the end of Term 5, we will be holding an inter-school VAT Speaker competition. The theme is: Is it a wonderful world?

Children will write a speech based on this theme to practise and perform, although if they do not want to perform it in front of anyone, that is fine! At school next week, we will start to gather ideas and begin writing our speeches together. Children may then bring them home to complete and/or practise performing should they want to compete in the Speaker Competition.

We will hear the people who want to read their speeches in class on 25th March and then choose a winner! We will then have an assembly in week 2 of Term 5 (with judges!) to decide on our 3 school winners.

In preparation for starting to write our speeches, please do speak to your children at home about what they might like to write about. They might even like to practise performing their speeches with you once written! Thank you in advance.
