Wow! What an amazing time we had today at Newington Green. After so long spent stuck in classrooms and learning from home it was a real treat for the children to get out of the school and into the theatre. And what a wonderful show it was. We have one word for you here in Year 4... 'Chips!'
Please see the attached letter from Mr Brown for details of an exciting RAPS art competition!

We firmly believe that reading is a crucial life skill that underpins many other subjects as well as sparking a child's imagination. In year 4, the children will be expected to read AT LEAST four times a week - signed by an adult. Reading records have already been given to the children, and they have chosen their first reading books. Reading records will ideally come into school every day, so we can record when an adult has listened to them read, but must be in on Mondays, so we can check off the four signed reads.
Please be aware that the Year 4 Parent Information Meeting will take place this Friday, 10th September, at 2:30 pm. I am very much looking forward to meeting you all!
This term our topic is 'Incredible Earth'. We will be learning about the structure of the Earth itself and how that relates to earthquakes, volcanic activity and even the water cycle. Inspired by the 'action paintings' of Jackson Pollock, we created explosive volcano pictures to begin our learning journey.
