What. A. Final. Week!

Wow! What a final full week of term we have had over the past five days. I cannot believe how much we have managed to fit in...

It all began on Monday, with our final preparations and rehearsals for the End of Year Production, before putting on two shows the following day.

The morning performance on the Tuesday was quite simply the best show ever put on by the school to date! The children projected their voices in the acting, sang their hearts out and performed a wonderful dance routine. They should all be so proud of themselves for their efforts. With the intense heat and end of term fatigue, it was understandable that the afternoon's wasn't quite as good - though it was still fabulous!

On the Wednesday, we then went to Folkestone Sport Centre for a day of fun. In three groups, the children had a carousel of 'Snow Ring' (hurtling down a dry ski slope in a doughnut ring), 'Footgolf' (kicking a football into various holes in the style of a golf course) and 'Skywalk' (a treetop challenge-style adventure course - where shirts can be easily ripped!). All the children had a fabulous time and, if you are looking for a day out over the summer holiday, I would definitely recommend it!

As if that wasn't enough, we went to Under 1 Roof on Thursday morning for a few hours of inflatable fun. The children loved bouncing, competing in the 'Bungee run' and dashing through the assault courses - despite the heat.

In the evening, we had our Leavers Award Event. Hopefully the children enjoyed the formal occasion as much as the Hide and Seek afterwards! Well done to those children who collected an award; however, as stated on the night, ALL the children are amazing and should be proud of their progress and development over the year.

Despite the late night and obvious fatigue, the children then hauled themselves into school on Friday and prepared their stalls for the conclusion of our Business Enterprise project - that tied into the RAPS Summer Festival. All of the groups made a profit, so again they should be immensely proud of their creativity and business acumen.

We hope the children have enjoyed their time at RAPS as much as we have enjoyed having them - they truly are the best class we have taught! We will miss them so much, but know they will be brilliant at their new schools.
