New Spellings
As we will be beginning a new spelling unit in class on Monday, the words for this week are the latest from the Year 5/6 statutory word list...
They will be tested on Friday 19th November and although the children do get some time in early morning work to practise them, it is important that they spend some time at home going over them as well. Thanks for your continued support.
Please also take the time to practise times tables with your child - or encourage them to utilise TT Rockstars or 'Hit the Button'. Whilst looking at fractions in maths recently, some children found it hard to simplify or find equivalents due to gaps in their times tables knowledge. Being secure in times tables does make so many other areas of maths easier.
