Wednesday's English - 8/7/20
The last few pages in the book show a huge change in Gregory’s attitude to Tobago, and we want to try and reflect that in a piece of writing today…
Previously, we wrote a diary as Gregory shortly after arriving when he was miserable and downcast. He didn’t like the food, he found it too hot and he thought the island was boring. Since his time on the beach this opinion has changed. Gregory seems to be enjoying the setting and his growing friendship with his cousin Lennox.
I would like you to write a diary entry just after the last page in the book. You could talk about some of the recent events such as:
- The day at the beach
- Sitting with Lennox waiting for the moon – and the sights and sounds you experienced
- Your improving relationships with Lennox
Try to reflect back to what you thought before to really show that your opinions have changed. I have attached a short example for you to get some ideas from.
