Welcome to Year 6
Ahead of next week, we just wanted to say hello, introduce ourselves and give you some key information...
Firstly, an introduction to the team. Although there is only one class, there are two teachers - myself (Mr Beraet) and Mr Williams - as well as Mrs Fox as our class Teaching Assistant. This gives us flexibility to run groups and potentially split for maths or English further down the line.
In terms of the Arts curriculum, these are the days with the corresponding subjects...
Monday - Double Art
Tuesday - Music and Computing
Wednesday - Drama and Dance
Thursday - Swimming
The arts curriculum will start immediately on Monday, so please ensure that the children are prepared. They will need to come in wearing their PE kit on Wednesday (for Dance) and bring in a swimming bag with swimming costume / shorts and goggles if needed. Remember that children will need to be picked up at 4:15 on Monday - Thursday and 3pm on Friday.
Finally, please be aware that next Friday - 8th September - this is a meeting in the classroom for parents of Year 6 pupils where we will go through expectations for the year. It will begin at 2:30 and finish by 3, so you can collect your child as usual.
