New Topic
This week, we began our new topic - 'World at War'. Over the next few weeks, we will be diving into the Second World War...
Already this week we have created our Art2Start - a city skyline during the Blitz - before exploring the causes of World War II, identifying the leaders of the major antagonists and looking at life during the Blitz.
In English, we have been reading 'Boy in the Striped Pyjamas', which is a moving and troubling account of the Holocaust. Using this, we have been writing a letter as one of the characters from the book - Bruno.
Although this book covers an extremely emotive topic, the children have discussed it in a thoughtful and mature manner.
