  • Rock and Roll in Green room

The kids have become very interested in Glastonbury, or making obscure music requests for choosing time. We have watched Glastonbury performances by Lizzo, Queens of the Stone Age, Elton John, Arctic Monkeys and Kelis. The kids have (independently) started lining up chairs in front of the Smart Board and demanding that I play them Glastonbury highlights which is quite funny to observe.

We have also listened to a lot of music in class, George Ezra is still the class favourite, Firework by Katy Perry is our favourite wake and shake song and I have tried to drop in some of my own music in-between the children's requests. They weren't impressed by Fred Again or Sjowgren, but they loved Songs for the Deaf by Queens of the Stone Age, Fontaines D.C and Blur (We listened to a lot of Blur on Monday and learnt about their performances at Wembley Stadium at the weekend!)

  • Amazing maths

    Published 13/07/23, by Admin

It is unfortunate that I have to report, that all of my treasure was sadly discovered due to the children's new-found map skills (which we foolishly taught them). They learnt about maps and drew maps. We drew a big map on the smart board and then one dastardly child had to follow the map and find the treasure. With the help of their terrible accomplices, they always succeeded. If any parents find some of the maps that the children created, could they please return them to school so that I can try and reclaim some of my precious treasure.

The children also learnt about mazes, this was also disappointing for us as teachers because no matter how hard we tried, the children managed to escape from the mazes we created and then design their own amazing mazes!

Tomorrow we as teacher will come back stronger, with tougher mazes for early morning work which hopefully the children will find impossible to exit!

Hofbräu Bierhaus NYC - A Bavarian pretzel and a Hofbräu Bier- a match made in heaven! 🥨🍻💙 | Facebook

If you have any old school uniform items which are suitable for reception children, we would love them to be donated to the school so that we have a supply of spare clothes for the new academic year. Feel free to drop them with a teacher any morning until the end of school.

Feel free to also donate any old books as we would also love them.
