Washing hands

Take a look at our science experiment!

In Reception we have been learning about the importance of hand washing. We looked at the 5 steps to hand washing;

1. Rinse with water.

2. Put on soap.

3. Rub soap in for 20 seconds, in-between fingers, backs of hands and thumbs.

4. Rinse soap off in running water.

5. Dry hands.

We also put together our own science experiment to focus on the importance of using soap when washing hands. We used pepper as the 'germs', put our finger in without soap to see what would happen. Then, we watched the magic happen as we put our finger in with soap! The 'germs' moved away! The children loved to watch and explore this experiment! NO MORE GERMS!
