Repeating Patterns

Last week, our focus during maths was repeating patterns.

A repeating pattern is simply that - the same thing, again, and again, and again! The children grasped this concept quickly and had great fun creating their own patterns in many ways. We used natural objects from our loose parts play area, we used cubes, we used actions. Anything can be turned into a pattern!

I know the children would love to share their knowledge of patterns with you, if you've got a few of the same thing at home then do encourage pattern making.
