Addition and subtraction (within 10)

Introducing parts and wholes!

We have started our work on addition and subtraction by creating two parts of the number 10. We had 10 double-sided counters to throw in the air (some of us loved this bit!) and see what colour they land as. We then put blue in one part, and red in the other part. We then said our mathematical sentences.
