Trip to Dover Museum!
Highlights from our trip!
We had the BEST day at Dover Museum on the last day of term!
We walked to Ramsgate train station and caught the train all the way to Dover.
When we got there, we had an amazing artefacts workshop. We held artefacts that were thousands of years old and tried on replicas of clothes they wore!
We then made boats out of clay, a model of the one that was discovered by the museum!
After lunch, we explored the museum and visited the room where the boat is kept. It was very dark to preserve the colour of the boat and it is kept in a display cabinet and set to a certain temperature.
We then got the train home again!
The children were amazing and set an example for the rest of the school about how to behave in public! They were so sensible and just lovely to take on a day out!
