Puppet Show!

Alternative ways to tell a story...

As mentioned in our previous blog post, one of our main themes for neurodiversity week was traditional tales.

We spoke a lot about how it can be hard for some people to stand and read out a story in front of people, so we discussed various ways of story telling which may be easier for neurodiverse people. One way was a puppet show! No faces shown, only the creativity of the puppets and backgrounds.

Our story this week was Jack and the Beanstalk.

Over the week, the children got into groups, designed their backgrounds, created their puppets, rehearsed, filmed and showcased to one of the Year 2 classes, their puppet shows.
