Art to Start!

Year 3 completed Art to Start inspired by the sunflowers of Vincent Van Gogh and a technique known as pointillism. Pointillism is a style of painting in which small dots of colour are applied in patterns to form an image. Painters like George Seurat are considered to have used this style of painting in theirwork! We found the process fun and calming, and it did require us to work carefully and to think about how we were creating the sunflower itself.
