Shadows

Today we learnt about what shadows are and what happens to a shadow when a light source moves. We now know that shadows are formed when an opaque, solid object blocks the source of light, leaving an absence of light behind the object.

To explore different types of shadows, we used a range of opaque, transparent, and translucent objects to create in our classroom. We created faint shadows and dark shadows, and even managed to create shadows of ourselves.
