Fair Traders!
Team Pressley became orange farmers for the day!
Today, Team Pressley worked so hard and had such a fun time working together as part of a fair trade game as we draw closer to the end of our term one topic Fair Trade.
The children worked in groups to be a family owning their own orange farm. They had to make oranges and learnt all about inflation, the cost of living, fair trade, and the importance of team work.
The aim of the game was to successfully run their own orange farm while battling the unfair realities of the real world, especially the world in which farmers have been treated unfairly. Eventually, the children realised that forming a cooperative and working together would have been best.
It was lovely to see how they worked together and just how much fun they had.
