First week of writing
After our Personal Development during week one, we have fully engaged in our writing this week - using our core text of 'Street Child' as a focal point...
This week, we have been working on the basics with the children - writing and improving descriptive sentences. It all built towards a descriptive passage of the main character - Jim - entering the workhouse for the first time. Attached is a picture of Phoebe's writing, which included everything we were looking for... Varied openers, expanded noun phrases, similes and even a 3-ed opener!
