Mock SATs next week

There are two main reasons for this. Firstly, they enable the children to become familiar with the process so that it is not so daunting in Term 5, when the real ones are completed. It also enables us, as teachers, to identify areas that we need to focus on in the intervening months.

On Monday, we have the Reading paper and the SPaG papers. On Tuesday, we have the Arithmetic paper and the first of the maths reasoning. Finally, on Wednesday, we will have the final maths reasoning paper.

We have told the children that we would like them to take them seriously, but not to get stressed or upset by them.
