Wonderful writing

Yesterday, we published our finished balanced arguments about xenotransplantation...

Over the course of this term, we have been reading the book 'Pig Heart Boy' by Malorie Blackman. In it, the main character (a 13-year-old boy) has a failing heart and takes the opportunity to have a revolutionary procedure, where a pig's heart is put into his body.

In our English lessons, the children debated the pros and cons, before writing, editing and publishing a balanced argument outlining the arguments for and against. Without doubt, this is the best piece of writing the pupils have produced thus far this year.

Hopefully, they can give you a summary of both viewpoints if prompted!
