In our writing sessions this week, we have been researching, planning and beginning to write an explanation text...
The children have been learning the difference between an atrium and an artery and have begun the writing process for an explanation text about the heart.
Already, the children have impressed with their writing - using sub-headings to help organise their ideas and including features such as technical vocabulary and relative clauses.
I am confident that these will be their best pieces to date when we finish them next week.
