A big thank you to all of our super parents and carers for helping the children to build their amazing Bug Hotels. I'm sure that the 'micro-habitats' that we have created will provide brilliant and comfortable homes for all manner of mini-bests and help to promote bio-diversity in our gardens and the school grounds.
This Friday 21st October is crazy hair day! The craziest hair in each class wins a prize!
Children are welcome to wear fancy dress, donations are well received but not required to join in the fun!
Year 2 are going to be designing and making bug hotels. We’d love it if you could collect and bringing in things to make them with.
We will need:
· straw/ newspaper
· large twigs
· pine cones
· bamboo canes (or any hollow gardening canes)
· 1 or 2 litre plastic drinks bottles
· empty cardboard 1 litre juice cartons
Please bring in anything you can by Tuesday 18th October. Every child will need either an empty 1 or 2 litre plastic bottle or an empty 1 litre juice carton as these will form the basis of their bug hotel.
