Reading Reminder- Team Cole

This is a reminder about reading at home.

Children’s sounds books are changed twice a week. Please write in your child’s reading record when you have read with them, and let us know whether they are ready to move on to the next book or if they need some extra time with their current book.

If your child has moved groups to Ditty, they will no longer have a sounds book. Instead, they will come home with a ditty sheet, which includes one sentence to read each day. Although this is not a book, it is extremely helpful for developing fluency.

Please continue to write in your child’s reading record even if they have a ditty sheet.
